R.N.L.I. Rhyl was named the busiest lifeboat station in Wales for 2008 with volunteer crews launching 79 times and rescuing 69 people. Every year there are a few people (some anglers) who get washed of the rocks by rogue waves and swept out to sea. Many do not come back alive. Some people are unaware of the dangers and the phenomenal power the sea has. When you go out fishing be prepared with the correct clothing and travel with someone who knows the area. Please remember - when you put your life in danger, the lifeboat crews put their life on the line to save yours. These chaps are volunteers !! Please support the R.N.L.I., they support you !

Well said Jim...was watching the Lifeboat yesterday think it was from Llandudno?was obviously on a call. The sea was pounding yesterday and really wouldnt have wanted to be out there in distress.. But must be the best sight in the world when those guys are with you. Maybe we could organise a meet in the summer with proceeds to them? Maybe along the lines of an inter forum match with WSF..Fishing4U.and this forum..realise many members are on same forums but easily overcome im sure..

Great idea Tony,
I am sure we can get a good amount of members in for this one and hopefully we can raise them a few much needed funds.
