Had another go at woodside sat morning silly oclock.Met Kev at around 5.30am so we could fish the tide right up as usual, was cold and whilst setting up the rain started to add to our joy then it turned to hail making it a trying day.Fished two rods each was hard going trying to get the hands warmed in between baiting up.We always get a run of codling an hour in and hour or so before the top and today was no different.I was in first with a little un which went back, then kev had a keeper not massive though 40cm but it was a welcome sight.things slowed right down then and then Kev had an insize dab, followed by a little codling bit like the size i had caught earlier so the fishing wasnt going too well.A while later i had a dab good size but it went back, then bang on cue an hour before high whilst baiting my second rod i caught sight of my rod tip nodding twice then slack line....i quickly wound in and struck and felt a nice weight on,few mins later i landed a nice codling bang on 3lb.Was well chuffed as we had been stuck out in bad weather and felt we deserved a decent fish.We moved onto the front away from the corner as the ebb started and gave it another 2hrs which seen us have a few good bites but alas no more fish caught....not a bad day out with 2 codling and a dab each and a taker each for the pan, sorry not many pics to cold n wet.
